Specimen immediately transferred to cultivation apparatus. Subsequent condition favorable. Growth proceeding normally. Replication attempted using identical procedures. No reproduction of results. Success determined to be a miraculous occurrence attributable to unknown external factors. - Impressions: Success of experiment a welcome outcome. New species designated Shadowbeak. Observation to continue. However, inability to identify reproducible procedures presents a significant problem. Future experiments to proceed by following current methodology with several minor adjustments. Addendum: Disappearance of Alex, who served as a lab assistant, remains a concern.
